Tom Flanagan has extensive practical experience in the architectural field with a background in construction and fine arts. Prior to founding Flanagan Architects, Tom served as Vice President of DFC, an architectural consulting firm in Washington, DC. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in 1984 and a Bachelor of Architecture degree in 1985 both from The Catholic University of America. Tom studied abroad for a semester in the Benjamin T. Rome Architectural Foreign Studies Program in Italy,

Spain and France.
Tom is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and is certified by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB). He serves on occasion as a critic for design review at The Catholic University of America.
